Velvet

Sara Rivero plays Carmen in Velvet—A Spanish series with great international presence, nominated for a Rockie Award in the Banff World Media Festival and the C21 International Drama Awards as the Best Non-English Language Series.

The series is set in an haute couture shop in 1958. Carmen is a young, reserved sales assistant with few friends. Her cold, distant personality fluctuates between proud and arrogant, hiding the emotional pain she suffers due to her family situation, which she must overcome to advance in her career. These qualities also make her one of the most enigmatic characters of the series’ first season.

Created by Ramón Campos, Director of Bambú Productions in conjunction with Atresmedia International and Beta Films, Velvet is broadcast in 17 countries, including the US and others in Europe and Latin America.
