Synopsis
An adaptation of The Story of the Abencerraje and the Beautiful Jarifa, a Moorish novel from the 16th Century, The Beautiful Jarifa is a tribute to brotherhood, tolerance, and respect among cultures.
Jarifa is one of the most transgressive female characters in classic literature. A brave and lucid woman, she is both a symbol of gender equality, and the voice of human reason in constant contradiction.
